Children’s Dentistry

We recommend starting a child’s professional dental care within six months of the appearance of the first tooth, to develop healthy oral habits. Parent education is an important part of these visits. We explain how to care for baby’s teeth, discuss nutrition, talk about pacifiers, and baby bottle tooth decay. Dr. Dhaliwal will also talk to parents about the importance of correct oral posture, head, and neck posturing. This information is important to help children grow in a favourable manner. We will assess the child’s airway and evaluate for mouth breathing or nasal breathing. There are a few factors that lead to growth patterns which will reduce the risk of sleep apnea and constricted jaws and crowded teeth. Your child’s first dental exam will be an in-depth evaluation to prevent dental and skeletal problems. We go above and beyond to ensure the first experience is pleasant for your child. We want them to feel comfortable and safe. When the time is right, we will introduce cleanings and x-rays and preventative care.

Family Dentistry

In addition to preventative dentistry and cosmetic treatments described on specific pages of this website, family dentistry typically encompasses restorative care such as:

Tooth-Coloured Fillings

Composite resin fillings are used to restore decayed and fractured teeth and avoid further damage to your teeth. They help restore your teeth while improving their appearance.

Root Canal Therapy

This is a treatment method that is meant to repair and save a damaged or infected tooth that would otherwise be removed. It is an effective way to avoid losing your natural teeth and clearing up a dental infection.

Palatal Expansion appliances, metal braces, Invisalign and retainers are all examples of orthodontic treatments that we offer in our dental clinic.

Dental Implants

A highly effective treatment where you get a fixed implant that looks and functions like a natural tooth.

Crowns & Bridges

Custom fitted tooth prosthetics are mainly used to replace and restore damaged or missing teeth. Bridges act exactly like they sound; they fill gaps left of missing teeth. Whereas crowns are fixed caps placed over damaged teeth.

If you feel that your teeth don’t look as beautiful as they once did are you are not able to eat your favorite foods, getting dentures is a good way to reclaim your smile.

Oral Surgery

When the problem becomes too severe to solve with restorative treatment, a professionally executed extraction is the only option left. Our job is to make the process as comfortable and gentle as possible.
